1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Good2Govern platform and services. By registering for an account or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. "Good2Govern", "we", "us" or "our" refers to the operators of this platform. "You" refers to the individual or organisation using our services.
2. Services provided
Good2Govern is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform providing governance and compliance tools, templates, assessments, AI-generated content, and related guidance for charities, CICs, clubs and community organisations. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of our services at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Not legal advice
Good2Govern provides practical governance guidance and self-assessment tools based on publicly available UK regulatory frameworks (including the Charity Governance Code, UK GDPR, Fundraising Regulator Code and related legislation). Nothing on this platform constitutes legal, regulatory, financial or professional advice. You should always seek specialist advice for complex compliance, legal or regulatory matters specific to your organisation.
4. Account registration
When you register:
- You must provide accurate, complete and current information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register.
5. Subscription plans and payment
We offer Free, Essential and Premium subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are displayed in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Annual subscriptions are non-refundable except in the event of a material breach by us.
- Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
6. Free assessment and access
The free readiness assessment is provided without charge and without warranty. Platform accounts are invite-only; we do not offer a self-serve free trial. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free features at any time. Where limited free or demo access is granted, usage limits may apply.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its systems.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses or harmful content.
- Resell, reproduce or redistribute our platform or content without permission.
- Use AI-generated content from the platform as definitive legal or regulatory guidance without independent verification.
8. AI-generated content
Our platform uses artificial intelligence to generate governance documents, risk summaries and narrative reports. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and practical aid. It may contain errors, omissions or information that is not current or applicable to your specific circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing, adapting and verifying all AI-generated content before use. We accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of AI-generated content without appropriate professional review.
9. Intellectual property
All platform content, branding, templates and software are owned by or licensed to Good2Govern and are protected by UK copyright and intellectual property law. Documents and reports you generate using the platform using your own organisation's data belong to you. You grant us a limited licence to process your data to provide the service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Good2Govern shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or business opportunity arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of our services shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms or misuse of the platform. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or cancelling your subscription through the platform. Upon termination, your access to paid features will cease at the end of the current billing period.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email with at least 14 days' notice. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
