Important: AI-generated content on Good2Govern is provided as a practical starting point only. It does not constitute legal, regulatory, safeguarding, financial, employment or professional advice. You must review and verify all AI outputs before using them in your organisation.
1. How we use AI
Good2Govern uses artificial intelligence to help organisations generate governance documents, policies, risk narratives, meeting minutes, compliance assessments and related content. AI is used to speed up drafting, surface relevant guidance and provide practical starting points — not to replace professional expertise or legal advice.
2. Limitations of AI-generated content
You should be aware of the following limitations:
- AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, outdated information or omissions.
- AI-generated documents are generic starting points and may not reflect your organisation's specific circumstances, sector or legal requirements.
- AI does not have knowledge of your organisation's internal policies, history, culture or individual situations.
- AI-generated content relating to safeguarding, HR, employment law, data protection, finance, tax or regulatory compliance must be reviewed by a qualified professional before use.
- Legislation, regulatory guidance and best practice frameworks change over time. AI content may not always reflect the most current requirements.
3. Not legal or professional advice
Nothing generated by Good2Govern's AI tools, assessments, reports or platform content constitutes legal, regulatory, safeguarding, financial, tax, employment, HR or any other form of professional advice. Good2Govern provides practical tools and guidance based on publicly available UK frameworks. Organisations are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice for their specific circumstances.
4. Your responsibilities
When using AI-powered features on Good2Govern, you agree to:
- Review all AI-generated content carefully before adopting or distributing it.
- Adapt AI-generated documents to reflect your organisation's actual policies, circumstances and needs.
- Seek appropriate professional advice where documents relate to legal, safeguarding, HR, financial or regulatory matters.
- Not input unnecessary personal data, special category data, or sensitive information into AI prompts.
- Not use AI-generated content to make safeguarding decisions, legal determinations or regulatory submissions without independent expert review.
- Take full responsibility for decisions made or actions taken based on AI-generated content.
5. Data and AI processing
When you use AI features, your prompts and inputs may be processed by third-party AI providers (including but not limited to OpenAI). We take steps to minimise the personal data shared with AI providers and to ensure appropriate data processing agreements are in place. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how your data is handled.
6. Platform guidance
All guidance, checklists, readiness scores, recommended actions and platform content are based on publicly available UK governance, charity, safeguarding, data protection and fundraising frameworks — including the Charity Governance Code 2025, UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018, Fundraising Regulator Code, NCVO guidance, and related legislation. This guidance is provided in good faith and updated periodically, but may not always reflect the latest regulatory changes or apply to every organisation's specific situation.
7. Limitation of liability
Good2Govern accepts no liability for any loss, damage, regulatory sanction, legal consequences or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, AI-generated content or platform guidance without appropriate professional review. See our Terms & Conditions for the full limitation of liability clause.
