Active incidents & maintenance
UK and allies expose spyware used by Iranian state actors to target dissidents, activists and journalists
The UK and its allies have issued an alert regarding CHOSEN BRICK malware used by Iranian state actors against specific activists and dissidents; this is currently a low-risk intelligence item for a general governance platform. Impact: There is no direct evidence that the Good2Govern platform or its specific third-party infrastructure (Base44, Stripe, Resend, IONOS) are targeted by CHOSEN BRICK malware. Recommended action: Monitor NCSC technical bulletins for indicators of compromise (IoCs) and ensure standard security patching protocols remain current for all platform infrastructure.

Critical security issue affecting PHP
The NCSC has identified critical vulnerabilities in PHP. The Good2Govern platform relies on web-based infrastructure. We therefore assessed the potential risk of our hosting environment against these specific CVEs. Recommended action: Charity customers should be advised to ensure their own web hosting providers have applied the necessary security updates.
